Atmosphere is designed to help mask noise, promote relaxation or even to replace an entire collection of natural sound CDs. You can listen to the soundscapes in realtime or use the inbuilt recorder to create your own relaxation / ambient sound CDs or MP3s using the sounds you find most pleasing. The soundscapes created are authentic and if you have purchased a commercial license, you are free to sell your created recordings and use them in commercial projects. Atmosphere comes in three versions - a free version, a mid-range version and a full-featured version. The free version is excellent for beginners and for the quick creation of soundscapes using a limited number of preset frequencies. It is not adequate, though, for more detailed work such as what we use in the production of our CDs and videos. Be sure to check out the other two versions at Vector Media Software. Bio2Midi converts the text of a DNA or protein sequence to a MIDI file, which you may immediately audition, or import into any MIDI sequencer for further compositional processing. Choose to listen to the sequences as 4-note DNA bases, or as 20-note protein amino acids, or both at once. You can select specific data sections to be translated, called exons and introns, and mark areas of interest to be played in a different instrument. In order to provide a fast, easy sketchpad for converting and listening to the sequences Bio2MIDI translations are kept simple, giving only direct pitch translation of the DNA and protein sequences. |

and sequenced by their more powerful composing programs, ArtWonk
