We humans arrogantly pride ourselves for supposedly being the highest,
most-advanced life form on our planet.
So why is it that we are the most destructive, the most neurotic, the most depressed, the most war-like? One could assume we seem to have very little knowledge of who we really are and what our place is in this universe. Perhaps, if we are to understand ourselves and our role in the Cosmos, we should step down from our arrogant perch and listen to the rest of Creation for the lessons we so sadly lack. We consider plants to be among the lowest of life forms - un-moving, un-thinking, un-intelligent - possessing no soul and no spirit. Because we, in our Age of Technology, know so much more than those ancient primitive cultures of the Dogon, the Dropa or the Hindu, we discard their beliefs as myth and fantasy. |
We scoff at those Native
Americans who claimed we are one with all of Creation, and who communed
regularly with the plant world, the animal world and even the world of
"inanimate" objects such as rock and water.
Below is an admittedly poor quality video that may change your beliefs dramatically ... and hopefully change your life and the way you see the world around you. It is a most rare video indeed (I could not find it anywhere for sale in any form) so I had to settle for the best quality I could find. Blind songwriter/performer Stevie Wonder wrote the musical score to this controversial documentary and other tracks were provided by George Harrison. In his compositions, Stevie Wonder actually used the "music" of plants. Musicians are more aware of the inter-connectedness of our world than most of us are. The first ten minutes or so contain some rather discordant music, but once you get past that, you will be stunned at what you see ... and this is only the beginning of your journey down the rabbit hole! |
