Breathwork is a breathing exercise or technique in which you change your breathing pattern. People typically use breathwork to improve aspects of their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, such as focusing or releasing negative thoughts. It may help provide relief from stress, pain, or feelings of anger.

Types of BreathWork

1. Holotropic Breathwork: This type of breathwork focuses on activating the body's healing capacities and helps to access unconscious experiences related to memories and emotions.

2. Transformational Breathwork: This breathwork technique helps to improve self awareness and balance the emotions, body and mind. It also has the potential to speed up the healing process and refresh the energy body.

3. Rebirthing Breathwork: This involves a ten-step process that helps to release mental, physical and emotional blocks that prevent people from living life to the fullest.

4. Pranayama: Pranayama is a type of yoga-based breathwork that involves deliberate shifts in breathing which can help to increase one's overall energy level and improve physical well-being.

5. The Journey Breathwork: This type of breathwork focuses on healing wounds from the past and helps to find clarity on questions as well as gaining insight into life's purpose.

6. Buteyko Breathing: Popular in treating asthma and other respiratory concerns such as bronchitis and emphysema. It helps to reduce the need for medications.

7. Qi Gong Breathing: A Chinese practice, this type of breathwork involves a conscious effort to move chi energy with the aid of breath. It is said to help lead to a heightened level of energy and relaxation
